About the event
Contributors from “A Literary Inventory of Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks” will share their poems and prose addressed to species who reside in Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument. Developed by NMSU geography professor Eric Magrane, the literary inventory gathers poets and writers to contribute their writing toward a multi-species sense of place. The reading will celebrate the launch of an issue of the online journal Spiral Orb that features the Literary Inventory, and that includes more than fifty poets and writers. A dozen contributors from the project will read.
